ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION

B.SC (NURSING) - 4 YEAR COURSE

  • The minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on 31st December of the year in which admission in sought.

  • Minimum Education :

    • A candidate should have passed in the subjects of PCB and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 45% marks taken together in PCB at the qualifying examination (10+2).

    • Candidates are also eligible from State Open School recognized by State Government and National Institute of Open School (NIOS) recognized by Central Government having science subjects and English only.

    • A candidate belonging to SC/ST or other backward classes, the marks obtained in PCB taken together in qualifying examination be 40% instead of 45% as stated above.

    • English is a compulsory subject in 10+2 for being eligible for admission to B.Sc. (N)

  • Candidate should be medically fit.

  • Candidate will be admitted once in a year.

  • Selection of the candidates will be based on the merit of the entrance examination held by university or competent authority.

  • Admission in B.Sc. Nursing is through Common Entrance Test conducted by Pt. B.D. Sharma University of Health Sciences, Rohtak

POST BASIC B.SC (NURSING) - 2 YEAR COURSE AFTER G.N.M

  • The minimum age requirement for P.B. B.Sc. Nursing admission is 21 years.

  • Candidates must have attained this age before or on 31st December of the year to which admission is being sought.

  • The aspirants must have passed the Higher Secondary/ Senior Secondary/ Intermediate/ equivalent Examination from a recognized board.

  • Candidates who have completed Metric on or before 1986 will be considered eligible for application.

  • Applicants must be registered with any state nurse registration council as RN or RM or must have obtained a certificate in General Nursing & Midwifery.

  • The candidate should be medically fit.

G.N.M. (GENERAL NURSING & MIDWIFERY) - 3 YEAR COURSE

  • Minimum and Maximum age for admission will be 17 and 35 years. There is no age bar for ANM/LHV.

  • 10+2 class passed preferably science (PCB) & English with an aggregate of 40% marks.

  • 10+2 in Arts (Mathematics, Biotechnology Economics, Political Science, History, Geography, Business Studies, Accountancy, Home Science, Sociology, Psychology) and English Core/English elective or Health Care Sciences-Vocational Stream only, passing out from recognized Board under AISSCE/CBSE/ICSE/SSCE/HSCE or other equivalent Board with 40% marks.

  • 10+2 Vocational ANM under CBSE Board or other equivalent board from the school.

  • Registered as ANM with State Nursing Registration Council.

  • Student qualified in 10+2 Arts and Science examination or Health Care Science-Vocational Stream only conducted by National Institute of open school with 40% marks.

A.N.M. (AUXILIARY NURSE & MIDWIFE) - 2 YEAR COURSE

  • The Minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on or before 31st December of the year in which admission is sought.

  • The maximum age for admission shall be 35 years.

  • The minimum educational requirement shall be 10+2 in Arts (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology Economics, Political Science, History, Geography, Business Studies, Accountancy, Home Science, Sociology, Psychology, and Philosophy) and English Core/English elective or Science or Health Care Sciences-Vocational Stream only passing out from recognized Board.

  • Student qualified in 10+2 Arts or Science examination conducted by National Institute of open school.
