It recognizes material health goals & commits to participate in the implementation of National Health Policies and programmes . Further it is based on values of caring & helps the individuals to attain independence in self care .
Florence School & College of Nursing came into existence around the nucleus of Florence School of Nursing in January 2007 & later raised to the status of College of Nursing in Sep 2010 ( now called Florence School & College of Nursing ) .
The purpose of establishing the Institute was to contribute towards overcoming shortage of Nurses in the country to some extent . The other aim was to encourage the girls from rural Community especially the weaker section of society to take up this noble profession & hence meeting the needs of grass root level . Since Nurses contribute to provide a large part of health Care , their training should equip them with professional expertise to meet the changing demands of society . Hence emphasis must be laid to impart Knowledge most relevant to the health care needs of Community & Society at large .
Keeping this in view Florence School & College of Nursing is continuously striving to maintain qualitative environment with a world of knowledge quest for excellence in education with Holistic approach , conducive for effective learning .

With immense pleasure, I welcome you to Florence School & College of Nursing, an Institution with a noble vision to serve humanity. I, inspired by the vocation to render extra-ordinary, selfless and noble service to society, started this institution in the year of 2007. Since then, it has grown in leaps and bounds with increasing confidence and growth.
"Maintaining one's health is a social responsibility. The balance of a nation depends on the health of the masses and the service rendered to the sick and needy. Only if a nation is healthy, can people contribute productively for social mobility. Besides medicine and surgery, the care and concern of the members of the nursing community, helps the patient recover rapidly. Nursing as a profession, has undergone several changes and continues to change, in order to incorporate the needs of society."
