Multi Purpose Health Workers (Male)

The concept of Multi Purpose Health Workers (Male) was introduced for the delivery of preventive & Promotive Health Care Services to the community at the level of sub-health centres, Primary Health Centres & Community Health Centres. MPHW (Male) is the grass route health functionary for the control of communicable disease like malaria, T.B., Leprosy, Water borne Diseases as well as environmental Sanitation, Detection of Diseases out-brakes and there control, health education etc. MPHW (Male) workers are basically malaria workers, Basic health workers, Vaccinators, Family planning workers etcMPHW (Male) Contribute to the health Science in a vital and significant way in the health Care delivery system. It recognizes material health goals & commits to participate in the implementation of National Health Policies and programmes.Further it is based on values of caring & helps the individuals to attain independence in self care.The purpose of establishing the Florence Institute of MPHW (Male) was to contribute towards overcoming Shortage of Male Health Workers in the community to implement national health policies and programmes. The other aim was to encourage the boys from rural Community especially the weaker section of society to take up this noble profession & hence meeting the needs of Grass root level.Since the Male health workers contribute to provide a large part of health Care, their training should equip them with professional expertise to meet the changing demands of society. Hence emphasis must be laid to impart Knowledge most relevant to the health care needs of Community & Society at large.Keeping this in view Florence Institute of MPHW (Male) is continuously striving to maintain qualitative environment with a world of knowledge, quest for excellence in education with Holistic approach, conducive for effective learning.Florence Institute of MPHW (Male) came under the domain of Haryana Gramin Vikas Samaj Seva Samiti Faridabad in 2014. The Institute is academically affiliated to Directorate of Medical Education Department & Research, Haryana.

Admission Criteria

The Minimum age for admission shall be 17 years on or before 31st December of the year in which the admission is sought.

The Minimum education requirement shall be 10+2 with any stream.

The Maximum age for admission shall be 35 years.

The age relaxation will be applicable only as per Haryana govt. policy.For MPHW (Male) candidates Haryana Domicile is mandatory.

Documents required for admission

Self Attested photocopies of mark sheets and certificate of last examination passed

[7 copies]Self Attested photocopies of Date of birth certificates.

[7 copies]Character certificate from the last institute attended in original.

Photocopies of Aadhar card

[7 copies]7 copies of photographs mentioning date of birth and name.

Medical fitness certificate from a registered M.B.B.S working in a Govt. HospitalElection commission card from state.

[7 copies]Caste certificate in case of SC/BC/OBCDomicile/Residence certificateDeclaration form duly attested by 1st class magistrate/public notary as enclosed in the prospectus.

 

Field Training

Field training is an important aspect of MPHW (Male) programme, and all the students are required to undergo field training as per the syllabus allotted by DMER, Haryana. This field training gives each and every student invaluable experimental learning and critical component to theoretical study. This field training also helps the students to gain field skill when they will be on job after the course.

 

 

Laboratory Facilities

The Institute is well equipped with latest simulator models which are specially imported from U.S.A and Germany.Some of the facilities for practice for the students in different labs before availing clinical experience are:Fundamentals nursing labAnatomy and Physiology labCommunity health lab.Maternal and child health lab.Nutrition labPre-clinical science lab.

 

Infrastructure Facilities

The Institute is located at village Dayalpur, Garhkhera road, Tehsil-Ballabgarh, District-Faridabad. It has a sprawling campus situated in green pastures and pollution free sylvan surroundings, connected well by laid concrete roads. The campus is spread over an area of 13 kanal 10 marla of land and is well connected to Faridabad city by public transport services and institute transportation. The campus is approx. 8km from Ballabgarh Metro station and ballabgarh bus stand & 3km from IMT.

 

Library

The student can avail the library facilities from 10AM to 5PM. The books are issued to the students on demand.

The institute is under 24 hour CCTV surveillanceThe Institute is free from all types of pollution-Air, Noise, Water etc. Since it is situated in an open area which is surrounded with agricultural fields.Calm and soothing environment for the better enhancement of studies.Institute has kitchen garden which helps the students to keep their leisure time healthy.The Institute has 24 hours drinking water facilities with water filter and refregerators.The building of the institute is well ventilated with lushy greenary surrounding.The institute is supplied with 24 hours lighting.Institute has its own playground for the extracurricular and sports activities.The recreational and common rooms are also available for both students and faculty to energize themselves with creative activities.
